Albena is a sea resort in northeast Bulgaria, situated 12 km away from Balchik, 30 km away from Varna and 500 km away northeast from Sofia. Many modern hotels are available at the resort, which are situated with views towards the sea and have a good exposure to the sun. About 90% of the tourists are foreigners.

A big part of the hotels have a terrace-like structure and are lying on the coastline itself.

Here is being held the annual rally Albena, the festival for national songs and dances, for TV programmes, bridge contests and beach volleyball. The resort has three camping sites: Albena, Internacional and Exotica.

Albena is very appropriate for a family vacation. He is relatively quiet, compared to the bigger resorts like Sunny beach and Golden sands. Only 10 km away from Albena is situated the Botanical garden of Balchik, which contains unique plants, as well as the architectural park complex The castle, which has been a residence of the romanian queen Maria in the beginning of the 20th century. Albena is also situated in the nearness of the preserve Baltata which is a dense forest along the Batova river.
